We require four weeks from design approval and payment to shipment to produce your stationery. This allows us to have your stationery printed by a professional print lab, carry out quality control checks and assemble your stationery. We can sometimes accommodate rush orders depending on our current workload, however, we cannot be held responsible for any delays which are beyond our control if we do not have four weeks.

Your design must be approved for print no later than four weeks before you need your order shipped. If you wish to discuss customisation/bespoke design you should book a design slot for eight weeks before your desired shipment date, at the latest. As we do book up in advance we recommend contacting us nine months or more in advance of your wedding in order to book your design and production slots. We are currently working on invitations up to a year ahead.

We specialise in bespoke design. Although we have a large standard range, which you can find on our New Designs and Back Catalogue pages, most of what we provide for clients is bespoke or highly customised. We offer all clients 9 hours of design time and 5 hours of amendment time free of charge, which for most designs is adequate. Fees are applicable after 14 hours  but it is very rare this is needed. Manufacture is included within our standard stationery prices.

To see some of our previous bespoke design please browse our Bespoke Design page.

We prefer direct bank transfer, this is usually instant and allows us to send your stationery to print on the same day you send payment. Alternatively we can accept cheques or use paypal email invoicing, however, both of these services can take seven days to clear which can delay production of your stationery. Our payment details for direct bank transfers and cheque are provided when we send your invoice upon approval of your design.

Please review our samples document on our Process page. We can provide samples but due to the size of our range, the bespoke nature of our work and the high print costs for one off prints these do cost. We do, of course, provide electronic proofs and, if required, artistic impressions of your stationery free of charge.

A 25% deposit is required if booking a design/production slot in advance. It is recommended that you book your slots. Without the deposit we can not guarantee that we will be able to hold a design/production slot for you.  As we are regularly working at capacity it is recommended you book in advance. The 25% deposit is approximate based on your initial requirements, however, you will still be able to add or deduct items from your full order as necessary and your total balance will simply be adjust according, minus the amount paid to secure your booking.

We do require non-refundable booking deposits and refundable security deposit on hire items. Details of which can be found in our Terms and Conditions on our Process page.

Generally you will require one invitation per family or couple, however, children living with parents but aged over 18 should receive their own invitation. Orders of service can be provided one each or one per couple.

It is recommended that you order a few more than you require for invitations, save the dates, orders of service and thank you cards. While we do try to provide extras when asked, we cannot guarantee our availability after completing your order. The price of small print runs is also much higher than for full orders as print costs escalate. We've found that evening invitations tend to be the item most likely to be under-ordered and we get a lot of requests for 'ten extra evening invitations', based on this we recommend ordering ten extra evening invitations in your initial order. Day invitations and other stationery are less likely to be under-ordered in our experience, so ordering five extra should cover any mistakes while writing names, etc.

If extras are ordered later we cannot be held responsible for minor changes in the design due to embellishment suppliers changing their ranges/ceasing trading or the print lab changing its machinery/ink/toner. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure enough stationery is ordered to cover their needs.

We recommend sending your invitations four to six months in advance with an R.S.V.P. date no later than eight weeks prior to your wedding. Most suppliers will need your final numbers/guest lists/etc four to sex weeks before your wedding so the eight week R.S.V.P. date gives you time to chase up those who haven't replied and invite more guests if you wish.

We can work entirely over the internet via email if required, however, due to the bespoke nature of our products and high levels of customisation often required we do not have an online shop.  If you wish to contact us to discuss an order please email us at enquiries@graphic-embers.co.uk . We have worked with couples all over the U.K. and Ireland and even as far away as the U.S.A. so it's certainly possible to work through emails only.

These days you can have any wording you like the look of, but if you would like traditionally worded options our standard variations can be found below.
